Meet the Lecturers

What first attracted you to Cyber Security?

While I was in high school, I watched a movie called Hackers (1995), which sparked my curiosity. And it was for this reason that I chose computer science when I was in high school; I was interested in system security and how hackers were able to breach the machines!

What does a day look like in your company working in?

I like teaching cybersecurity concepts to students and adults as a cybersecurity lecturer since the cyber security industry is a very dynamic and demanding domain with always something new for me to learn. As a result, I frequently investigate new issues in the field of cyber security ahead of time and present them to my students in a practical manner to guarantee that they understand them as well.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in Cyber Security?

I’d like to mention the passion, which has served as a driving force for me to progress throughout the years. Without it, staying on track in the field of cyber security would be difficult. In general, the field of cyber security is not a simple one, and it will require you to learn a variety of technologies to help you protect your environment.

Why is Cyber security so crucial in business today?

I feel that, because we are connecting through social media and companies are offering services online, we will require cyber security as a solution to assist individuals, society, government agencies, and businesses in using cyberspace to do business in a safe and secure manner.

What are the advantages of studying IT?

I believe that wherever we go, IT is a part of the business; whether you work in a bank, a shop, a factory, or anywhere else. As a matter of fact, taking IT-related courses will help people understand how online businesses work while also giving you the opportunity to work in many different places around the world.

Why age is not a boundary to changing a career path?

Because age is just a number, there have been many people in our world who have achieved success at quite older ages, changing careers at any age can be a step toward success in a new field.
